Mother Nature Won't Stop Me
The Jeeps Story
I bought this rattle trap about a year or so ago and haven't done anything but maintenance to it so far. But last summer before it ended, I was just causally driving down a road at around 40mph and I knew a storm was coming because the wind had picked up quite a bit and out of no where my jeep feels like its rear axles was just ripped out of the back. But I kept moving and there was no sounds of the body grinding across the concrete. So I look back and all I see is a massive lump in my roof right behind my head and a tree broken in half laying in the middle of the road. While I was turning around to help the people who had witnessed this lashing from mother nature, I could not believe that that had just happened. When I got out it didn't cross my mind till I got home that not a single piece of glass had broken even though the tree had directly hit one. Once the tree was moved out of the way I turned around to head for the flood gates to let loose on me. At the time only three windows would open up and the few holes int the roof just flooded the inside of my floor broad until I got home to take out the drain plugs.
Now sense that has happened I have continued to drive it around as it and fix the two doors that wouldn't open and the window that wouldn't roll all the way up. For awhile I didn't know what to do with it but an idea slowly but surely was decided and that was to find a jeep being parted out and chop its roof off to put on mine. After that was planed I started looking for one, found one, and chopped the roof, and took it home. About a month or so later (yesterday) I chopped the roof off mine preparing for the swap. I have pictures of all this so once I remember to get on my computer at home, I will upload the progress.

I'm sad to say that I'm scraping the roof swap idea (90$ gone) because everyone that said they will help didn't actually think I would do this so they backed out. So the new plan is to completely roll cage it, with a fast back design and other ideas from looking around. Quick question can you enter jeepspeed with a chopped cherokee?

How is this idea? There is one with a roof rack also which i will probably do but it it makes the design hard to understand. The plan is to turn it into a two door and possibly have a back seat still that can be taken out and be replaced with a tool box.
