Brown Santa arrived yesterday!
I got the Rusty's steering box brace installed and I have to say, I'm really impressed with the quality and fitment. I did'nt realize I was a bit off on the angle of the brackets around the box in relationship to the bracket (until I took pictures) but that should'nt be more than a simple adjustment. Long day today. Well 8 hours, but my actual job involves very little work so when I do work I get my butt kicked.
I got these bad boys installed. I'm loving the look and I can flex again!
I almost forgot to thank my beutiful daughter for hanging out with me all day and helping where she could. Bet you can't guess what kind of rig she wants when she turns 16?

Took the Jeep out yesterday to help out with the monthly Utah four wheel drive association trail cleanup. It was nice to actually run a trail, it seems all I do lately is work on the darn thing.
I'm loving the new tires but I must say, going from a 31" AT to the 33" Km-2's, the increased size and traction does tend to try to bully you around at the steering wheel a bit in the rocks.
All in all a great day, we picked up a fair amount of trash and one of our members located a fugitive hiding out in the hills that the County sheriff had been trying to apprehend for a couple days.

Another cool picture from our day out. That Dodge M-37 was soooooo cool, not only did its owner drive a long way just to help out with the cleanup, but he ran the trail in that thing with manual everything. No power steering, no power brakes, totally origional military issue. Now I want one.

This bad boy is in the mail!
I was going to build my own crossmember but the more I thought about it the more letting Clayton Offroad do it made sense where as they've already figured out the math and everything.
I'd like to give a plug to Clayton offroad. Two of the Johnny joints I ordered were the wrong size, they swapped em out no questions asked, when I told them I wanted the crossmember as well and asked if we could just ship the joints with the crossmember so I could do it all for the $20 shipping charge I'd be paying for the crossmember (and not pay anymore for my mistake), they had no problem with it.
I talked to them at 9:00 this morning, Adam told me he'd have to get the crossmember welded up, but he'd try to get it shipped today but would have it out tommorow for sure. He then apologized that the holiday would slow down my shipment. I spoke with them at 9:00 my time, they got it welded up and had it in brown santas hands at 2:30 my time. Great, awesome company to deal with, I highly recommend them! Awesome service!
