Yeah, i was the same way. Cutting the fenders made me pretty nervous... mostly because once its done, you can't go back ya know? But honestly i'm glad i did it! These flares are built to last, and the extra tire clearance/tire coverage is priceless... Especially since tire coverage laws in Utah are so strict. You'll be happy with them once its all said and done. I know i sure am!

I needed a solution to mount a full size spare tire. I didn't really want to throw down a grand for the tire carrier i want, so i bought a roof rack with a tire mount instead! Its cheaper, plus the extra space will be great for camping trips, and besides... i think roof racks look amazing on cherokees! I have the tire mount for the roof rack ready to be installed, but i'm just waiting for the spare tire. Of course ill post up pics when i get that mounted, but that probably won't be for a week or two. But for now here's some pics with the rack installed.

As many others have said "this jeep is f*****g amazing"! I too have a 89XJ 4.0 except mine is 4 door and auto trans. But I am currently rebuilding the motor and hope to make quite a few other mods to her as well! Keep up with the work man! It looks awesome!
Havent commented since about the start of this, I usually don't like 2 doors, but this one Is amazing. All the little suttle touches, there is nothing wrong with this one lol, what kind of silver paint did you use?

I'm planning a trip to Moab on October 12th, I know some people who I used to live in CA with, they now live in AZ, and are meeting me there. As well as a friend from CO. We're making our Mecca out there. Would you be down to meet there since it's not too far from you?? (serious note) Just wanna get a nice group of people. This is assuming nothing comes up.

Actual phrase used in actual everyday conversation? I've never heard it before besides atmos and now you saying it! Maybe Utah is just short on cool phrases haha.

The silver paint I used was Rustoleum Engine enamel. It bonds great to metal, and it lasts a long time. I've also used it on a lot of plastic with the same great results. I've been really impressed with it.

Haha honestly the first time I heard it was 2 years ago and I've heard it maybe 3 times since. I get it but I guess it just hasn't caught on yet.
In any case it's real buttery and saucy.
