I also got a 88 Comanche eliminator 213xxx within the last week myself. Blew a head gasket. Got it with a new head just need to put it all back together. With all this work I'm putting into it I'm already thinking of taking my xj off the road when I get the manche back on.

So I accidentally found this thread without really looking. I was facinated to find it since it is like 6 years old. However i figured i would update since this thread was started for this jeep anyway. Its amazing how similar the purchase was.
This is how i picked it up last summer in Longmont co. It was posted for parts but i ended up buying the whole thing. I got it for 400 bucks because the clutch was out. Also found out after the t case was also ****ed and it needed alot of love to become trail ready i was determined to save this old jeep.

Bought a set of complete doors because the all the door harnesses had been cut when po removed doors. Really inconvenient since it has full power doors. Also door panes were pretty beat. Thes doors have manual window and locks so it make removal simple. Plus i modified the hinges so the doors pop right off now. Doors will be paint matched in the next couple days.

Paint matched doors using NAPA paint match rattle can. Turned out pretty decent although i did not pull the dents out of the driver door.
