Quote: Yep I would say just water in exhaust system. And prepare yourself for the noise increase with no carpet, still the worst decision I've made. But it's a lot colder here and that's what really sucks lol

i bet haha south florida doesnt get as cold as where your from, but a few years back when i was a young bachelor going to college i was daily driving my project/race car at the time (turbo honda civic ran 10.4 @ 144 mph, i know 'honda civic=ricer' lol) because my ford ranger had taken a crap, but that winter was one of the coldest we've had in a while, and i had no carpet, no sound deadening, no rear panels, no headliner, and no heater, boy i was a f'en popsicle in that thing every morning going to school at 6:30am ahahahah and it was super loud (open down pipe).. im definitely putting the capret back on the jeep though

well a little update but no pics right now..

took out my seats and carpet, and the whole floor board on the driver side is pretty much gone, i cut off w.e couldnt be saved, and theres a another much much smaller hole on the rear driver side floor board, rest of the floor board is good, since i have yet to acquire a decent welders im just going to rhino line the s*** out of everything and rivet some aluminum plates over the holes and will add 5200 so water wont leak through..

the carpet i didnt even know if i wanted to try to save it but im going to try anyways, i removed the extra padding thats attached to the bottom of the carpet since thats the only part that really retains water, i will also be pressure cleaning the bottom of the jeep and rhino lining the living s*** out of it as well. still havnt received payment from my brother for the f250 super duty i sold him, so havnt been able to order anything..

have to make a trip to the jy for a couple parts, will post pics tomorrow of damage and progress

from what ive seen and read, the manufacturer basically got a left hand drive jeep and but the rhd interior, steering box on the right side, everything else is identical to a regular xj, this is partly why i decided to save the carpet (wich after 3-4 hours of cleaning came out pretty damn good haha) i think itll be pretty hard to find a rhd carpet, especially a new one...

on another not i covered the wholes in the floor board today, doesnt look great but hey its going to work jack haha letting the cocking to dry before i paint over it with the bed liner paint, hopfully have the interior back together for the weekend so i can go do some wheeling out in corbittt, will post pics of progress in a little bit

cant wait to start on my 99 xj classic. No rust anywhere and has 237k on it! Now I just need the time and $ to start modding. Can't wait to see some more bold pics

in other news i was blessed today with free 3" front lift coil springs and after market lower control arms for free, now to order some shocks and get some blocks and u-bolts for the rear wich they sell such a kit at auto zone for around $30, gotta fab up some spacers to drop the transfer case, and i decided on a different winch then originally planned, now im planning on pulling the trigger on a smittybilt xrc 10k comp winch with synthetic rope, should be able to hang 3+ xj's from a bridge and winch em up and down no problem hahaha

Thanks for the pics. Nice job on the floor! How thick is the diamond plate? Although I'd use sheet metal that is exactly how I used to do it when I first started wheelin'. Jeep up the nice work.
