so i started researching, and just as i thought i found a diy post on this forum for trimming fenders, so i decided to to copy the op's design as best i could, with what i had at home
this is the worst of the rust, pretty freaking bad i extends under the rear driver side door (right hand drive drivers side haha)
i put a wire wheel to all of the rust as best i could
then taped up above the folding point (bend in rear 1.5" of the rear fenders) and began cutting in lines

the other rear fender was allot easier, probably because the lack of rust ahahaa
dewalt grinder with cutting wheel, does work
now bent back
cleaning off the surface to tape it up
shouldve cleaned the damn thing before i started hahaha
surface cleaned
taped up and painted, also i use the same cleaner from previous pic for just in case of over spray, never know how the wind is going to act
end result

the rears rubbed the worst, atleast now i can drive the damn thing, thats all i have done so far, will update tomorrow or the following when i get around to doing the front..
hopfully next week i get around to ordering a few things, im planning on only a 2" lift, but ill be going hard with a nice set of fox shocks, will also be ordering a light bar and a snorkel from 4wheel parts, will also be doing a custom exhaust at home, and will be making a trip to the junk yard this weekend.. hopfully in 2 weeks ill be able to order the front bumper i want and winch, also some other small stuff like diff gaurds, wheel spacers, all new brakes (calipers, drums, rotors ect) and around that time should be up for a tune up

it was a rural mail carrier in its day, their actually some what common in the northern states from what ive been told and from what ive looked up, im in south florida and its really rare down here, every where i go people are amazed, local jeep groups seem to think its pretty cool also lol.
well update, finished the front fenders today, went mudding, got stuck in some thick **** and my buddy had to pull me out, he went and yanked and the chain broke, and a piece of the chain broke my rear window always thought chains just broke and fell, first time ive seen that happen, well ill post pics of the front fenders in a second
