I never really update this thread like the one I have on JeepForum. Here is a pic of my new motor assembled. I also took the bent front bumper off because I thought it looked better without it.


On top off putting the new motor in she is getting a new crank sensor and new PCM. (Old one is causing random dying issues.) Employee discounts for Jeep parts makes having to buy things like a new PCM really cheap and easy.
I also have to modify the newer year motor to work in my 96. In 96 the 4 liter had 2 coolant sesors, One on the back of the head next to the valve cover and one on the thermostat housing. In 98 the one on the head was removed and the computer ran the gauge of the one on the t stat housing. So I will be drilling and tapping the back of the head so I can still run the second sensor no problem.

Well this build has come to an end. Jessie is sold and in Casper, Wyoming now with her new owner. It was sad watching her go but it was time for a new toy.
