Busy week at work and ****ty weather so not getting anything done. Plus I'm still saving for new sneakers for my XJ aka Tires so everything is pretty much on hold for that. And Axle build of the 8.25.

What did come today are my pillar LED light brackets so I'll put those on this weekend. I have the lights as well so if all goes well they will be mounted and hooked up.

Hey questions for all you experts.. I got a lead on some 2015 Wrangler JKUs grey in color wheels 17" and pretty solid deal. Will these fit on a XJ assuming I would need spacers? Read a few things and if they are 5x5.5 or 5x5 so the owner is going to measure.

If they will work spacers is basically all I will need right?

17s are getting pretty big for a XJ and I would prefer 15s or 16s for the sidewall.

True but if your lifted is that really a concern?

I understand your thoughts but will they for with adapters or are they 5x5.5 lugs? Like I said previous owner will measure this morning the lug size but thought maybe someone will know.

I have 265-75-17 on my F350 and I want to put 35" tires on that so my plan is to take my KO2s off that and put on the Wrangler wheels. Since mine is a DRW F350 I'll have 6 tires all damn new brand new.

Plus I'm converting my DRW to SRW so I'll only need to repurchase 4 35" tires.

Wrangler wheels now already come with decent off road tires.

I hate low profiles but... If you are also going to increase the sidewall height profile along with the rim diameter I can't see anything wrong with that. You just don't want to be decreasing your sidewall profile, you will bend a rim every time you go in the sticks.

But there is another factor to consider in this. The larger the rim diameter, the more leverage that can be applied to bend it at the bolt circle face. Longer the lever the more force it will apply.

Can you explain this? Sorry I'm brain farting right now and don't seem to get it. I'm currently running 32x11.5x15 so will the 255x75x17 tires increase side wall or no? Again, please explain for my lack of understanding.

I think I see the point though that I may suffer in when off-roading. Unless I go something like a 6.5" long arm kit with the 17" tires and wheel combo I will loose a lot of my flex when off road. So going with a 4.5" lift which I had originally planned for running 33x11.5x15 will be ideal and still prove some good flex on the trails.

Running that large of a wheel combo is going to decrease my abilites to get over some obstacles in my way becuase the rig will not be able to flex over and cause more harm then good right?
