not sure if anyone has touched on this, but i need to replace the driver side inner fender/upper rail,

so far I've been able to remove some of the sheet metal but im not to sure on how to insert a new piece, can i cut out what i need from another xj and then weld it in place?

the picture is not that great but ill post a better one later tonight
