Well I present to you my new DD. A '99 Cherokee limited with 208k miles. All leather interior in immaculate shape. Runs and drives extremely well! I paid $1800 for it with a saggy skyjacker 3" lift. This will be a somewhat slow build but many mods are planned.

Thanks man! Biggest reason I picked it up is the floors are 99% solid, just some surface rust from what I can see as of now, planning to fix all the rust, the roof has a little starting and it needs the rear 2 doors. Luckily I know where a set of doors are. This summer it'll have 2x6 rockers installed. Big plans!

Well I went to inspect brakes on the jeep about a week ago and it needs rears. Bad. It has a Dana 35 and I didn't really want to put $150-$200 into new brakes on a junk axle, so I found a 29 spline 8.25 I'm picking up next week for $100! I visited a U Pull this past weekend and found some ZJ disc brakes, I already had some pads and rotors so I'm prepping the parts for the axle. Pretty it up! Getting backing plates in primer.

Swapped in some LEDs in the gauge cluster, interior lamps and I have some exterior bulbs on the way! I love having more light on the interior. A much more modern look.

Well being the rear springs sag like a **** I'm replacing them with some 3.5" procomp springs. I'm not taking any chances on broken bolts so I bought new nuts and bolts for the shackles and leafs

Tomorrow is the day I lift the rear and swap in an 8.25. Today I deleted ABS but the bleeder screws were seized so I decided to do the axle swap sooner... Picked up this 8.25 with a solid cover for $150! I'm swapping in ZJ discs.

Any details on the ABS delete? I'm going to be swapping mine when ever I find time and I've heard some varying things about how to go about removing the ABS, thanks

This morning a buddy and I got the leafs in with 1" extended shackles and the 8.25 is bolted in. Next are the brake lines and bleeding the brakes.

Alright I was asked for a write up for my ABS delete. I did it the "right" way.

Step 1: disconnect battery & remove brake lines going from proportioning valve to the ABS module

Step 2: remove ABS module (disconnect the harness and just put it aside)

Step 3: remove ABS fuse/relay (I had 1 relay and 2 fuses)

Step 4: get a proportioning valve from a non ABS XJ, (unscrew the threaded fitting on the back and put it in place of the plug on your proportioning valve)

Step 5: route new brake lines. You need to replace the 2 lines on the bottom of the proportioning valve and the insert the line into the new port on the back of the valve. (Part numbers from MOPAR are listed below)

Step 6: bleed the brakes & triple check everything for leaks. DONE!

MOPAR brake line part numbers:

52128381 - $8.75
52128170 - $4.10
52127988AC - $12.00
