Green XJ (Noob build)
My noob build will start a bit later after I get the engine back together after doing the cylinder head and cleaning up the poor beast.
Your work is inspiring, no doubt!

Well I got her done today. The rain lurking just out of reach I went ahead and started. I got a late start because I had to charge the battery to move it to the paint booth (Dads garage). It sat for about a month and was drained. I got it all taped up and I started rolling the clouds came and went. Well here are the pics.

I love how it turned out and cant wait for my lift and tires. It may be a while as my wife just decided to quit her job. In her defence she just graduated with her BS degree to be a teacher and she just landed a teaching job with duval county. She starts in august. it may be some time before I get the next up grades. Thanks for checking out the latest installment of my rig. My dad said I should change the name of the truck to the booger. Because its green like a booger. What do you guys think?

Monstaliner truck bed liner its the same stuff I used on the floors. Its olive drab green. I picked this one because it has great UV protection.

Man that thing looks great! I like the texture. How many coats did you do and how much monstaliner did it take? I really like following this build. My build is on a different site but if you want to check it out PM me and I'll send you the link.

I used a little less than 1 1/2 gallons. I could have done 3 coats but I ended up with two coats on the truck with 3 on the hood and had a little more than half a gallon left over. You could do it with a gallon and a quart.

I looked up the part number on the flowmaster and its a super 40 series in very good condition.
I went to my dads house today to check on some parts for the jeep and he had my roof rack painted and drying in the sun. Thats the last small part I needed to paint. Just a short list of things to complete before I can get her on the road-
1.Find and replace all door latches on the inside of the doors
2.Paint the bumpers
3.Relocate the vac tank in the bumper
4.Clean the windows and take off the old crappy window tint
5.Paint the rubber trim around all the windows
6.Slap all the painted small parts back on her
7.Extend the trans cooler line
8.Check all fluids
Im getting close to driving my first jeep.

The rain has kept me from doing any work on her this week. This was the 4th wettest first week in june in jacksonville on record. Thats what they said on the radio. Im off all weekend so I hope to get everything buttoned up and road ready.

My favorite part of the thread so far hahaha.
It's looking really good though man. Keep it up. Sounds like you're getting there! I can only imagine that if the brakes were that neglected, every single one of the fluids will be as well.
