Hopefully its not your daily.
A D44 is nice and all, but you can find a C8.25 for cheaper and if its a 29pline its damn equal strength compared to the D44. I wanted 44's front and rear but I saw way to many decent 29spline C8.25s going for 100-150. While a bad/rough D44 was going for $200 & a good one was going for $400...couldn't justify the extra cost! I got my C8.25 & D30 with 3.55's for less than $300, threw in a lock for another $218 and I'm good to go
So I vote for a 29spline C8.25 with ZJ disks. A built 30 or mild 44 up front...but either way lock the front first
Your rear tires will thank me later
Your crawling and it'll help pull you up and no negative effects on daily driving at all..won't know its there until you hit 4wd
With the rear locked, you'll know..You will get some lurch when it locks..like taking off from a stop, it may/may not lurch to one side when it locks up! Also chirping tires
Annoying and it doesn't take much at all..Mine wouldn't skip the tires, it just kind of shook the whole jeep lol. Everytime in a parking lot, or close radius turns..damn jeep felt like a earthquake!
Lock the front!
I'm doing my cherokee the same..29spline C8.25 with zj disks and ruff stuff diff cover and a D30 with a spartan locker and a G2 diff cover...Going from 307's to 355's since I only run 31's, it'll be perfect!
I'm doing a super stock rebuild lol...2" lift, 31's, 3.55's, c8.25/D30 non disco, & a front locker...already swapped the ax-15 in it.
Also might I add to upgrade that steering
I just did a simple ZJ tire rod..felt the stock steering was to weak even for 31's! Your on 35's..that things a limp noodle.

Also if you want a lunch box locker...get a spartan. I wanted aussie until I found out that they don't come with a hardened cross pen/bar..Plus my spartan I got for $218 shipped to my door brand new..while the aussie was $249.38+shipping!
I'll post the place I bought mine if you want!

. Mines an Aussie. I'd rather have it over a new product. Hardened center pin?? When have you ever heard that breaking? Marketing works I guess
