Well it's been a long time since I updated this build. I have been working on helicopters and have learned a lot. Mostly how clueless I was up until this point. Not that I will ever stop learning more about the beast and the best way to upgrade and modify.
The jeep has basically sat for the last two years. Engine was rough. Suspension N steering terrible. And I had no money.
I had a nice f150 that I leveled and did some exhaust upgrade too. Also a nice Kawasaki versus 650. But nothing ever was the jeep.not to mention I get better mpgs with the jeep than truck. So last fall I decided to start it up again and do it right. It turned into a full rebuild.
Gatch's build 2.0???? I guess that will work. Anyways I will start to keep this updated in hopes I can help other people do the same. Please ask questions, give advice, or whatever. I feel like I owe Cherokee forum and its members for the joy I get lately out of this thing.
Btw it's running better now than it ever has! Rock on!

Ruff stuff 1ton steering kit. Welded tab for existing steering damper. Redid my trac bar as well. 3/4 in Heims on both sides. Equal angle between dragging and trac bar.

Upgraded head lights. Went with 100 watt wiring harness. Hella h4 glass housing and hella 55/60 watt bulbs. Significantly better lighting.
