First suspension lift
So straight to it, I have an 88 Jeep Cherokee and was thinking for my first lift to do a 3 inch suspension but I don't want to do the add-a-leaf in the rear and spacers in the front I want to do an actual suspension lift. My question is will I need to modify anything such as the Drive shafts, linkages, sway bars or anything with the steering? I'm gonna be running 31s and it will be half and half for road and trail use as I start to venture more onto the trails. Any help is appreciated!

There’s different opinions on this but this is how I would do it. Aside from your front and rear springs....
- upper and lower adjustable control arms
- trac bar
- sye and driveshaft. I don’t like t case drops but they work.
- sway bar end links
-brake lines
- bumpstops
- shocks

I ran a 3" suspension lift with 31s for a couple years. The stock sway bar links, control arms, track bar, steering, and driveshafts all worked fine.
