Converted 96 XJ Build
Well its not much of a build right now, but got some things going for it and plans later this summer.
Up on the list is going to be getting the floor patched and new sheet metal in
RC's 4.5 X series kit
some 31 or 32's on new wheels
currently awaiting in the mail tomorrow, Carr light bar (hopefully it clears my roof) and some westin driving lights.
Some current pics
with the trailer
My cobra 29LTD, with PA speaker in the front, and soon to be 4 inch speakers in the knee bar, amplified.
I am in the middle of a complete audio overhaul.
New subwoofers along with my new extinguisher.
Even though I have the trailer, with that box i dont have room to carry stuff in the back now... well here is my solution that I just got done with a few days ago.
here was the rough start.
and the "almost" finished product. I need to find/make a cargo net and install my eye bolts.
some inside shots.
New planet audio 6.5 in the upper rear roof.
I have also rewired the major electrical feed under the hood, engine is all stock, gearing and all that too. I have my last gig in July for our charity event we are having, CrushForKids, put on by XJOR. For any NE ohio residents that may find this thread, check out NEO4x4 sign up for a local forum and check out the events section.
getting back to what i was saying. after this last gig im giving up the game and going to sell my gear, hopefully get enough cash to lift it, get the floor done and get some new shoes on it before hopefully making it out to the bantam jeep festival this august.

I have spent (what I consider) a lot of time researching cherokees, and I have never seen anything like this. I'm really curious as to where this goes, keep us posted!

That's pretty darn cool looking and like mentioned above, comfy looking.
I really like the trailer, too. That'd make a super cool trailer for camping and such.
Nice!

Its definitely different and I really like it alot, love it to say the least. Thanks for all the positive comments on it. Some people really dislike it and thats cool, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Thanks again and I will keep updated as things roll on.

Well my CARR light bar came today... Ugghhh I thought I would have enough clearance over the front peak of the roof... but its like 2 inches too short. Ive been cutting and trimming and stuff since 530, and It sucks, but if i want it to work I have to mount the bar itself on top of the gutter mounts, which sucks cause i cut them short to mount it the right way. now ive gotta paint the bar and the brackets with a quick coat of paint to cover where i cut and some scratches, and fill in the open end holes of the bar and use some black RTV to blend in where the bar is going to mount on the gutter brackets so it doesnt look terrible or weird.
while I am working on it the wife comes out and says.... What are you doing? I reply, Im trying to make this stupid F'ing bar fit.... she says you are always trying to make something fit on that thing that shouldnt.... lol gotta love it!

I've wanted to build an MJ trailer for soo long. I love it! I don't care too much for the horizontal grill... not true to the jeep. But the conversion is sick.
