They sounded awesome until i ripped them out today, only had them in a week and tehy are pissing me off. Me and my buddy spent alot of time throwing numbers around in his subwoofer program to figure the best bang box for them, built it to 5.0 cubic feet, tuned to 33hz. factory says go no larger than 1.75 each. on very low frequency im getting a clip or slight pop sound coming from one woofer or the other or both, not sure. I also get a very wicked drop off so to speak, when it dips low itll just sound like the woofers stop playing. so i yanked them out today, going to build mini boxes to take up some airspace and retune the ports and see if that helps.

Yeah, I hears those Crunch's hit high numbers. Head over to termpro.com, they could help you out.

Thanks, i will go check that out! From all the research and stuff I did, i was tyring to get the best quality on the cheapest buck, and i know you get what you pay for, but i read a lot of good things about them and as well as the amp I bought to run them.

I bought the 12's for 130 with free shipping, and I got an audiopipe 1500W amp for 155 with free ship.

i also read the amp wasnt going to put out the claimed watts, 1500RMS @ 1ohm

so i figured id be safe running at 1ohm amp gain at half way. Im thinking maybe the speakers dont handle what they say, 600 RMS. or i just got a bad speaker, or my box is too big. I put them back in for now until i have my buddy listen to them to see what he thinks...

got the Carr light bar, what a PITA because it didnt fit.

i was hacking and grinding and everything else to get the brackets to fit ok, and I had to mount the bar on top of the mounting brackets.

this is what i got so far, with another set of lights on order since i will be using. I have finishing touches to do to blend some things in. but it doesnt look half way too bad with the bar being mounted on top.

just a question not a put down ok
but is there enough gap underneath so the bar wont 'bump' the roof on rough roads?

thanks, and there is only about a 1/4" of clearance between the rack and the roof. the roof rack is pretty darn solid, i yanked back and forth and it rocked the jeep. i dont see that bar touching the roof at all even on bumpy roads, theres no flex in the bar.

Ive been pretty busy lately and havent got much else done to it, except ordered a couple more lights, a 5 farad cap and some misc. electrical stuff. Last night however my wife had a surprise party for my 30th, so my buddy that helped me with the box was over. Standing there listening to it we determined one was definitely noisier, almost more punchier, but not in a good way. And it was also making a weird pop, at the end of a low bass line. Definitely thinking mechanical, this is really crap cause now I gotta see about a warranty, but i have 2 jeep events in the next month and a half, so I either gotta buy a new replacement or just buy a new pair of subs all together.

Got the lights 99% done tonight. The pics were while it was still daylight, and still needed some final touches to some areas i took pics of. Tomorrow off to get some wire loom and silicone up some holes. Then I gotta go out at night and adjust them

Things are about to get SERIOUS...

Thanks to Serious Offroad Products for answering my questions... I just ordered some lift parts from them at a very good price.

Thanks to Rough Country for hooking me up with the rest of my lift to finally build the type of lift I wanted to start with.

Heres whats coming.

RE 3.5 Full Leafs
RE 3.5 Coil Springs
RE Track Bar
RE UBolts
RE TC Drop

RC Lower Control Arms
RC Sway bar links
RC Hydo 8000 shocks
RC brake line brackets

Totalling about 775 with shipping on everything.

Recently I havent done a whole lot, I am not sure if i posted above, but I scored some alright 31's for 80 bucks, pirelli scorpions.. better than stock on a lift.. lol.

here they are... not staying on those wheels those...

Got my windows re-tinted. Thats about it

Things are going to hopefully start rolling now.

Just wanted to update here to keep this in the loop.

Well, went JY hopping today, only ended up needing to go to one... or maybe thats all I had time for.

Found a pair of stock bumpers, off an early 90's limited. The best part is the front had the incorporated brackets for tow hooks, so i at least will have some recovery points up front. I really like the front bumper with the extended bump outs on them... IDK what they are called... lol. the bumpers are the greatest, but for 60 for the pair, I wont complain... and these are meant to be trail bumpers anyway.

I also found a pretty cool Under Hood retractable work light. its pretty cool, gotta do a little bit of work, but tested tonight and the light bulb lit... then burned out after a few seconds... maybe bad bulb but it seems to be working, Im going to custom my own push button switch to be able to turn it on when i want to with the hood open. I will probably never use it, but i was like WTF is this... and said I gotta have it. And it was free, so you cant beat that!

here is how my jeep sits. I relocated 2 of the driving lights to the bumper... tomorrow im picking up 2 long range lights... only problem is, im only set up to really go 55W each across the bar and the long range lights are 100W. SO.... im swapping the 100W bulbs for 55w ones cause I do not feel like redoing wiring from the hood to the rack... maybe a winter/spring project.

Here is how it sits now.

Im thinking of mild sanding and painting all my flares satin black, as GLAVAL did a hell of a half-Ace job painting only the part of the flare that shows.. GRRR. and I will also be trimming the bottoms of the front flares to be a straight line with the bottom of the bumper...

Well its been getting worked on to get it ready for trail action. Got both stock bumpers on and painted, installled front tow hooks on the factory brackets. Tomorrow I will be removing the running boards and maybe start the work on the flares and painting those. Installed 2 100W lights on the rack and got the bumper lights all wired up. Also tomorrow my lift will be here... its like christmas eve around here... lol
