Another productive day in the Jeep office.
Finally done with all the rust and welding inside. The whole floor was sprayed with sealer and 2 layers of Würst Underbody sealer, water will never touch that floor again

Then I found out that I needed some serious light brackets for my four 6", IPF 968 driving lights which will go on the roof rack
..don\t want those stolen...
So welded together some from old scrap metal
And it turned out pertty good I think
Grinded and welded some reinforcements to the brackets for the rear bumper as well

Salt here also, Lapland is salt free but in south it is used. My rust was basicly under the factory seam sealer. My xj is germany import and it had bolted "bling" rocker "guards" that trapped **** inside unibody beams, so some minor rust was also there.

Then it was time to strip the whole car, doors, hood and everything else that wasn t gonna be painted. Painting the car in original blue metalic.
Driver door was exchanged with a new donor door, because of RUST!!! Had some problems fitting it, but after some bending, hammering and an extra door bracket it fit just fine
Some problems with the new donor door, but in the end it worked out fine
And here is the sum of everything not getting painted
Then it was time to go Flintstone style to the painter

Awesome build! My first jeep was that metallic blue color.
As for the rust, you should see what Ohio's salt treatment does to vehicles. I've seen quite a few XJs around here with no floorboards

Well I done all I can now to prevent future rust. Very curious about that electric rust inhibitor i bought, if it has any effect or not...
