My 29 spline Powertrax No-Slip locker came in and I got that installed today... This was SOOO much easier than doing the front. It only took me an hour and a half, not including the RTV to dry. The front you know you have to remove the hub, rotor, calipers, to get the differential out. But in the back I didn't even have to take it out to install the locker... it was cake.
So now I have Powertrax No-slip lockers in the front and back.
I really don't know a lot about lockers, how would the powertrax compare to an aussie? I'm finding it costs more but i am sure that's not the only difference. Please let us know your thoughts after it gets some on and offroad use!

They work really good off road, it's like cheating now.
The no-slip has a tab on the spacers that the aussie doesn't have. These tabs line up with the wide notches on the cams. This bypasses the clicking noises. Makes it a tad harder to install too. Not too bad though.
They work great on asphalt, completely silent as far as the clicking goes. Every once and a while the rear will grab and make a thud noise, after I backup while turning. It also causes a slight swerve when accelerating, I don't notice it on streets, but Gets a little annoying if your on the interstate for over 30 mins with the cruise control on. An open dif is definitely a more comfortable ride, but the things it can do off road is well worth it.
The Trails at Superlift Hot Springs are pretty demanding, I accidentally went on a lvl 3 but I was too busy freaking out to take pictures. Never been on one that hard before. Honestly the vehicle did not stutter at all. its only limits were my inhibitions.
I replaced the front brake calipers today. The front driver's side got real hot, first sign was I could smell It. Second sign was the heat coming from the wheel. I aired back up, and couldn't touch the rim it was so hot. I got it home and tested the lines. Best I could figure is the caliper was jammed. I went ahead and replaced both of them in pairs. So I Took my old ones off and made a trip to the auto parts store. You get them for cheaper if you take your old ones in. I Bought those, brake fluid, and a clear tube to bleed them. I probably should have got new rotors too, since these look like they're off the titanic. The brakes are fixed and a little better, but I'm still not impressed with the stopping power. So I'm leaning more towards disk conversion real soon.
Due to recent events with the brakes, I went ahead and contacted Big David about his rear disk brake conversion kits for drums. I got put on the que list and I'm pretty excited about it. Click Here For His Thread

There are a few small places to wheel around here but nothing to get excited about mostly just trails. I would like to take my kids up through the buckhorn trail at devils den as soon as I get my rear main seal replaced, should be sometime this week.

Last few weeks I've been pulling dents from hail damage and bondo. I ordered some rage gold and will compare it next week. I do like the bondo gold better than regular. I have trouble spreading it evenly and thought it was easier to use.

No-Slip Front and Rear
