I had some plans fall through on my day off, so I decided it was time to put the 35's on the Jeep.
First it was time to cut as the 33's where hitting the body with the 15 by 10s
Unfortunately my phone died while I was doing the trim job
and then presto chango they were changed.
but on a serious note, they did get 8oz each of balance beads and I used RTV on the bead of the wheel as an extra sealing insurance. just in case you don't think 35's are much bigger than 33's
Man I wish I had made the jump last time, this thing looks awesome on 35's

Now with 2 grills I decided to paint one set black and the other set of headlight buckets I would leave body color. I threw the black headlight buckets on yesterday and the spare header panel got a fresh squirt of chili pepper red. Hopefully I can swap that over soon with the condenser from the parts Jeep. The A/c mysteriously died after the deer punting incident.

time to install this pile
Big brakes are big. Its amazing how well this thing stops now.
So we all know that the drag link needed to be cut down, but I didn't expect to need a longer tie rod. Luckly I got away with welding bigger tube adapters into my existing tie rod. heres what i ended up with for measurements.
Also no pictures of it but I used ford sport-trac rotors and I had to grind off quite a bit of the hub flange for the rotor to slip over it. Also I had to grid the calipers a bit to clear the wheels.
Finished product is great, a more controlled and direct steering feel and much much better brakes. the brakes alone make it worth it.

I wonder how fast they stop, my 35s stop nice with the WJ booster. There is a write-up on using WJ calipers with Ford rotors and Renix knuckles. I have a question, thoughts on getting an aftermarket rear bumper?

I would love to get a rear bumper, but unfortunately its not a priority right now. New drive shafts and fender flares are a bit higher up on the list as well as a bunch of little fiddly things that have been bother me. I've started to get pulled over for the tires hanging to far out of the body for the state of CT's liking.
