Yes have to drill a couple of holes, but no big deal. Fronts just position where you want them and drill a couple of hole in the cap and bumper and I used stainless steel screws to hold them. The rear will have to trimmed for the hatch. the older hatch is made different.

Yea there will be holes in the bumper, the raer quarters have a bracket riveted to them for the end caps. I took the bracket off it will leave I believe 3 holes.
Wow awesome build !!!!! i just found this thread funny i started abuild for my fiance she wanted a yellow fj so she could call it the shortbus but i found an xj to build for her gonna paint it yellow i started a thread SHORT BUS of my build i just started it its gonna take some time but now i have some competition LOL again Super job!!! gotta tell me how you got the yellow paint swirls like that ? how durable is it? shes gonna be home in a few minutes shell die when she sees yours!!!!

You mean the the interior splatters, I painted the trim black and splattered yellow paint on them with a small artist brush. Thanks for the compliments. Yea I like the older style caps. I want new bumpers eventually.

dude you have a freaking ax in your jeep!!! sweeeettt.... Your jeep is inspirational. I have an 89 and I kind of like the bumpers on the newish xjs and the sports. (I think it was around 96 when they changed the bumper caps just a guestamation) Thats cool that you went back in time a bit though.
