Hey man I just wanna say thanks for the help! The doors look sweet! They fit perfect! Thanks again! Feel free to delete this I just wanted to show you how it looks.. Maybe you wanna keep it to show people your work on someone else's jeep... Your choice!
Well, being down and out sucks. Nothing worse than sitting at home and staring at my POS knowing i wont be able to even clean up my garage, much less put a wrench on it for awhile.
So....i got bored and downloaded this little programfrom google called scketch, its pretty cool, and i know a few of you use it on here. I just used the free version.
Well i cant wrench, but i can type, so i came up with this? what you guys think? I couldn't figure out how to make the stinger round, or "D" rings, but you get the idea.
bumper idea

I left a "flat in the middle for a winch maybe later?

As an engineer I'd like to comment on this photo. As much as I like the design of the cage visually, that center horizontal piece is a MAJOR weak point since you brought the diagonals down like you did - there is no triangulation in that assembly. The second you flop you jeep on it's side the cage is going to bend like a wet noodle in that spot
You should really consider bracing that horizontal section between the diagonals somehow, or redo the tube work to meet and transfer the load

Already in progress..there is another horizontal bar on the lower section..that is plated, then tied to the tunnel. I have a young son..and so I spaced the bars that way as a " out"..in other words a place I could go through the cage in a hurry in case of a flop and a fire. Leaving a true "x" as in the rear would have prevented me from making it " through" and having to go around. There for adding considerable time to escape through the windshield if needed..and then, around to my boy.
I do appreciate the concern..but I had to balance safety and accessibility. Not my first cage either and definitely not the first to get rolled.

Love the build! Looks great. I have a question about your long arm set up. I'm in the process of building my own custom long arm and I saw how you attached your upper control arms to your lower control arms. Now I know a lot of the lift company's out there do that also, but why? Is there clearance issues with running longer upper control arms that mount in the factory spot or does this set up allow more flex? Any info you can throw my way would be appreciated!

Idealy i would have run a "true" three link with a single upper link to the pass side for clearance, but with the low lift height cupled with small tires"33's" the upper would have to "pass" through the pass side floor to utilize all my up travel. so...in my case..radius arm were ideal for the moment.
