Looking good. Might have to download sketch, been hearing good stuff about it. That's not a RC51 parked next to your plasma in some of the first pics is it?

Thought so, the tail is kinda a give away on them. I've got a couple of SV650's now. One for track only and one street bike. Both are far from stock. I'm still thinking of picking up an RC51 for a street bike. I've wanted one for a long time.

Yeah, no plans on putting one on track. The SV's are great. They get a lot of flack for being starter or girl bikes. There's a lot of fast guys on SV's that can give 600's a run on some tracks.

well..not too much going on here. wife had to work all weekend so i had the boy, but it was a good time as always so no complaints.
Did get to sneak out for a couple of hours on sat and make it to the steel supply, got some plate for the frame stiffeners in the front..and some other goodies.
Just need to head to the other steel shop and pick up some more goodies...order my joints, and get new motor mounts/trans mounts.
After that, i should have all i need to start on the new cross member(with center drop out) and link monts.
Sorry..no pics this time...but pretty sure all of you have seen a pile of metal before..lol

Well..another weekend come and gone....wha wha..lol. For those of you folling, the back is back to 90% and ready to work, unfortunatly..so was the wife. she has some grand idea of doing christmas in the new house...and with the new baby..im super busy.spent the weekend painting and laying base board..basically everything BUT work on the jeep
Now to the build...gonna build some front radius arms on the stock 30...i know...they suck..but its what i got and in keeping with the spirit of a budget build..it stays for now.
Question....i've tried to do my homework on this..just not finding anything specific.
For those of you running radius arms...need the measurement for the upper arm piviot...from the axle lower bushing to the piviot...and how critical is this measurment in binding?maybe a upper control arm measurment too?

Well, its been slow going. Still working on the house a ton..but got to sneak out in the garage for a few and get dirty while the wife did some christmas shopping.
Cut and roll the rear fenders
Dont worry, they are straight. The area around the fender is where the paint chipped during folding..not worried about that now. paint job is comming someday.

Also got bored with the stock shifter, and decided to cut down and relocate the 4x4 lever, moving it inboard, next to the shifter. should look kinda like a lenco in a prostock car when done..but ran out of gas for the tig. All this is going in a new center console...funny, this all started with the need for cup holders
Cup holder wil go where the old 4x4 lever was.

why the short shifter? i know when i was running the stock auto shifter i couldn't reach it when strapped in the harness's. i couldn't imagine trying to reach that one even in the stock belts.

got bored really..lol needed an excuse to play with my tig welder. This will be a dezert rig..so if the shifter becomes a problem..i'll just build a new one.Besides..im six foot with long monkey arms and can reach the dash while fully seated.
