Default Bought not built...

I picked up a 97 sport the other day!!! It has the 4.0 w/ aw4 tranny...here are some specs...

7 in Rusty's Long Arm , Quigley custom driveshaft(this co. does the 4x4 Vans, there work is stout) , Advance Adapters SYE , Spartan locked D30 front with Alloy axle tube seals. Aussie locked Chr. 8.25 rear. 35x12.5x15 SSR's The tires show chunking from the rocks. Cragar soft 8's. TnT Trac-bar with TnT bracket. Rusty's steering box brace....Rear leafs are Rusty's 6.5 leaf packs. Front spring are RC 6.5 coils with 2" spacer. Shocks and s/stabilzer are RC 2.2(the bigger ones). Everything has been put on new within last 9 months except the long arms and tires. The long arms are used but in good condition. JKS quick disconnects.

As of now I still have to get it inspected. Shouldn't be that hard, but we shall see. Flares WILL be coming off as soon as it does, well the TJ flares will. I may go get some stock ones and throw them on the front.

Plans are...
4.88 gears
Alloy shafts
Sliders
Bumpers front/rear
and more.

Now some pictures...

Uh oh!!!

I will add a bit of background here also...

I had an 89 YJ before this on a 3.5in BDS lift with 33x12.5 MT/R with Kevlar. It gave me nothing but trouble and it got old after a while.

So I put it up forsale and traded the YJ for the cherokee, which is in much better shape.

I normally would have gone with a stock jeep and built it up, but this is my dream jeep and I would have built it up pretty much the same, just a few different things.

Nice! I hope you know they guy who inspects your jeep. Im in MD too. Unibody lift laws suck. 20" bumper height max. For trucks i beleive it is 26" I could be mistaken though. I'm over, but thats now after some upgrades

I think I know the guy who you bought that XJ from. I picked up a bunch of parts off him a little while ago. He has a very nice XJ and I know it's capable. Did he live in Walkersville?

Haven't posted in a while on here so lets see what has happened...

Not a whole lot. It did get totaled. No big deal, should be getting a nice 2k check here real soon.

Going to be buying new tires for it.

I put some buchwackers on the front yesterday and realized just how much I hate idiots...

What it looks like now...

No got totaled when I got rear-ended. Though I still need to get it inspected, but I have to wait for the insurance check to fix the hatch and bumper.

looks like you need to get rid of the drop pitman arm. The trackbar to draglink angle looks all wrong. They should match.
