One more post here for now. I would like to have any ideas on how to fix this area myself. From the large hole forward is caved in some. Seeing how this is the primary area for the bumper to bolt to, I need to get it bent back into shape, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I was playing around with a metal wood wedge and drove it in there some to see what would happen. It moved some, but didn't stay there. Any ideas would be appreciated. I may end up posting this on the tech side later, but for now it's here.

Looks like you got the major stuff under control, Theres a decent amount of prep work even for rattle can, If you plan it out you can make it turn out good, quick, and cheap, Heres my post on it haha

Ok. Thank you. I remember reading that thread now. The pics look like yours turned out pretty nice. I hope mine will turn out nice too, but I'm not going to sweat it looking cherry. I don't want to be out running a trail and have to be worried about an expensive paint job. Or even worrying about hours and hours of work ruined by some trees or rocks. I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Well, my newest development for the build is, I ordered my radiator yesterday. I went with this radiator. I guess I'll see if I made a good decision later this week. I might actually bring it home after I get this in so it's easier to work on, but then again, the big garage is nice to work in.

Radiator came in today. I'm quite impressed with the look of the radiator. I'm surprised that it looks so much like some of the expensive radiators that they show on the tv builds. I just hope it works as good as it looks. It is just a single row, but that one row is a nearly flat 1.25" wide tube, meaning more surface contact with the water and air. I'm getting excited to hear it run again.

Time to wake this thread up! This thread has been entirely too quiet! And whose fault is that? Well, I've been really busy with work and just enjoying family time, so the Jeep has been neglected, severely. I've spent my time that I have not been working on the Jeep doing research when I can and have changed a few of my goals. Instead of a going with a pre-packaged lift, I'm building a bastard pack for the rear. Still working on how the front will be done, my trial set, stock Grand Cherokee's + a spacer, or Rusty's 3" springs + a spacer if needed. On to the updates...

Awhile back, I picked up a set of leaf springs from a 92 S10 that had a 2" lowering block in it. (I love that fact, leaves from a lowrider are gonna lift my Jeep.) I also picked up a set of coils that I'm gonna try out. If they don't work I'm only out $12 for the set, not too big of a deal. Also, over a month ago, I picked up a header panel form the jy. It had all the lights the grill and even the wiring harness still connected. Score! It's dark blue and came off of a MJ.

Today I actually got a day off from work and honey-dos (had to put my foot down softly on this one), and was able to get my hands on the Jeep again. I installed the new radiator, all new hoses, a new thermostat, and a new belt. I couldn't stand it any longer. I GOT TO HEAR IT RUN!!!! For having sat for over a year, it started really quick. It started as easily as if it had just been run last week. It was awesome to hear it run for a little bit. Maybe just the little nudge I need to spur me on to do some more.

I still want to change the oil in it. I need some plugs and wires, noticed a couple of wires had some of the insulation scrapped away. Plus, the wires say Mopar on them leading me to think both the plugs and the wires are the originals, especially remembering that it only has 114,911 miles on the ticker.

OK we get that it runs but what became of your bodywork. Sounds like you lost the bug to fix it and we have been 5 months wondering when we would get the next installment.

Sorry, didn't see this post. I don't have as much time to surf on here as I used too. Yes, I live in West Paducah. Just a few miles away from you in Benton.

Yep, I sure have lost the bug.... a little. Christmas put a damper on a lot. From Oct. til Christmas, I can't make enough money to pay the bills and Santa. Santa has a problem controlling her spending when she's in "Santa" mode. Also, I'm having a hard time motivating myself to go work in the cold temps and the snow. I have access to a garage, but it's not here at my house. It's across the street at my wife's uncle's shop, but time has also been a factor. I'm working on a bumper now actually.

Well, I have been absent for far too long. I hurriedly got the XJ bedlined and together for a camping/riding trip back in Oct. I have a friend that I worked with that let me borrow his 31" x 11.50" x 15" Super Swamper TSL's off his mud truck that he rarely uses for this camping trip. Here are a couple of pics of my bedlining with the Swampers on it.

Here are some pics of my second venture off road using my 235/75 15" Mastercraft Courser C/T's. I'm trying my new sway bar disconnects out with some short arm flex. As you can see in these pics, I'm still rockin' the junkyard colors on my replacement parts. I jokingly call her 5 colors. Hopefully that will change soon.

Like I said a couple of post up, I'm finally building the bumper. It's coming along nice and slow, just like this build. I have bought a few parts for it, and now that Christmas is over and life is back to normal, I'll be buying more and doing more. My biggest development I had recently is, before Christmas, I bought a Long Arm Upgrade Kit from Rough Country. I haven't put it on yet. I want a new track bar to go with it and I'm trying to decide which one I want to buy. Any suggestions would be nice. I'm looking for a good beefy one with flex joints, but I'm not wanting to break the bank if possible.
