Here a few shots of my metal work so far for the bumper. The tube is 2" x 5" x 1/4". I wanted to keep the nice rolled edge that the factory put in the tube, so I pie cut the tube and welded them back together to make my end pieces. Definitely not the easiest or quickest way, but it's what I wanted to do. You all have no idea how excited I am that the end pieces turned out as close to identical as they did. I usually don't end up with results like that, especially for my first metal fab job.

My friend, Derek, and I did some work today on the bumper. We didn't get a lot accomplished, but we did get the end sections completely welded and ground down. I'll have to take pics another time. I forgot to today. I've got to get my mount worked out so we can start piecing the bumper together then. And before you ask, the mounts are 2 pieces of 6" x 3/8" x 21" flat. That will be trimmed down eventually to match the "frame" section and the tube itself. I'm over building this like crazy. No factory 6 holes only for me.

I even took it out to a trail ride at Turkey Bay this past Saturday. I was lucky and never had to hook a strap to it and test it's strength. Here's a couple dirty shots after I got home.

Thank you. I forgot to mention that this is just phase 1 of the bumper. Later I will be adding some tube and a winch.

Sorry it shouldve said not to take the bypass instead of "to to take a bypass" lol that would be bad though if that was a bypass lol
