Well, getting closer. Here is a pick with the motor back in and connected and wired up.

Now I'm troubleshooting a starting problem. Details can be found here, https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/87-...stions-166413/

Well, the beast lives!! Found that I must have snagged the power supply wire to my MAP sensor when I put the new motor in. After 2 evenings of troubleshooting, I came home one day at lunch and happened to notice a little clipped wire. I spliced it back together and it runs perfect. The idle is a little funky, idles smooth for a bit then goes low then back to normal. I'll fix that another day, but for now it's working.

Heading out of town on Saturday for 2 weeks. So while I'm gone I will be ordering my lift and tires. I'm still undecided on wheels right now. Then when I get back the new goodies will go on.

Here's a couple more pics for the heck of it.

No huge update right now, but I went to the DMV and got plates for it yesterday. Slapped those on and drove it into work today. She drove like a dream!! It still has a bit of an up and down idle when sitting still, but runs smooth when I'm on the gas. It was about 6 miles to my work, and when I parked I noticed a small bit of water drip. I need to search for that, assuming it's just a loose hose clamp or something. Overall I'm very pleased with how it runs so far.
In the next week or two I will be ordering my Rusty's 3" lift with springs and a set of 31x10.5 Goodyear Duratracs. I think until I decide on wheels I'll just keep the stock ones for now.

Well, updates have been slow the last couple of weeks. I took a week off to go see family and have also been troubleshooting some minor Renix issues.

I did order my lift and tires about 2 weeks ago. I got the Rusty's 3" inch lift with full leaf pack and 31x10.50x15 Treadwright Guard Dogs. I was expecting the front to sit a bit lower so I also ordered a 1" coil spacer from ebay.

So over memorial weekend I got the lift installed and added some spacers and new bolts to the transfer case skid. Then yesterday I rolled over to Firestone and had them mount and balance the new shoes. Overall I think it looks great!! What a difference from the beginning till now.

Now I really need to sell my Wrangler to fund new upgrades. Next on the list, new head unit and speakers, Detours USA backbone system, and a winch of some kind, then a roof rack. I also plan to finish sorting out the Renix engine issues in the next few days. Just a slightly off idle and sluggishness.

Anyway, here's some pics.

Haven't updated in a while, but nothing really major to report. Lots of routine stuff, and a few repairs along the way.

I replaced my closed loop system with a new radiator from a newer model, replaced heater hoses, removed vacuum valve, and added overflow bottle. So far that has been a great mod.

Also had to troubleshoot some stumbling/bucking when driving. I put in a new fuel pump, TPS, fuel filter, cleaned IAC, plugs, and some misc stuff and it seems to be gone for now.

Another thing was I built a roof rack. I went with the 3/4 EMT conduit like a lot of others. I have yet to paint it, just because I'm worried that black would look really harsh compared to the rest of the Jeep.

I went to the local pic-n-pull a while back and got a complete rear shoulder seat belt setup too. Not a bad deal, paid $60 for everything plus all the plastic trim needed.

Just some random pics below.

Just an FYI. This project is over. I now have a broken piston skirt. Would be great if someone else would buy it continue the project and not just cut it up and make a buggy.
