I've seen that too. probably would serve more function that way. but I like mine better.
I should've made it a bit wider but too late now. was designed to look like this one. his came out way better though

YESSSS!! I finally picked up a set of tires!! 6 BFG T/A's for $200! yes I said 6 tires
I've almost finished collecting parts. just need shocks, wheels, temporary tcase drop, shackles, and hardware
so lets recap, 4.5 RE short arm, 6 tires, a build 8.8, and an entire engine cooling overhaul for $1277
should be done installing everything in about 3 weeks

look at that tread!

quick update. my engine is in pieces. doing my cooling system overhaul and some deeeep cleaning.
and replacing this heater core may be the death of me..
should take me all week to finish this
on the bright side, just put in a $500 order to summit
now I just need some shocks and boom. jeep complete

all metal radiator and cap because mine was rotting
then while you have the radiator out you might as well do the water pump and tstat. and give the entire engine a deep cleaning and remove all the grease build up. fix all the leaks
zj fan clutch and I'll pick up a 97xj efan later. all for better air flow
transmission cooler so it doesnt over heat from being in 1st and 2nd gear for hours
and my heater core was plugged so I was having very little coolant flow. gotta replace it.
and a vent so it can release pockets of hot air build up at low speeds
I did it all so I dont overheat on the trail. I'm building this jeep to go all day in 100 degree weather. my cooling setup will probably end up being overly efficient and I'll end up with worse fuel economy for daily drives. but worth it
future engine upgrades will be 4 hole fuel injectors, cowl air induction (to make room for a second battery)
and I'll bore out the throttle body in the hopes that I end up with a bit better throttle response

thanks man I'll install everything within 3 weeks. it's all in the details and I think you guys will like how this thing turns out
jeez though this engine work is killing me. me and my dad have been tearing this thing apart.
the dash just isnt going to be the same after this. bums me out. this jeep's in pieces and it's starting to get stressful.
oh and the guy at oreilly gave me the wrong parts. wrong heater core, wrong water pump, wrong hoses. projected delayed

I'm no mechanic BUT I'D SAY THAT'S PLUGGED

on the bright side. my wheels came. set of four 15x8 cragars, center caps, valve stems, and lugs. $277 shipped.
great service from the guys at SUMMIT. he walked me through all the other parts I needed. very helpful.
the wheels were at my door in 2 days. still waiting on shackles and some other stuff.
I had a good experience with SUMMIT racing. I'd recommend them for sure.
only thing left to buy is shocks then I'm ready for install!!
ignore the gay poser background haha I had to get them in some decent light.
