Default "The Blue Prius"

just my little tribute to all those prius owners out there. I know you'll like my jeep as much as I do

phase 1: get this jeep back to peak running condition and collect parts
phase 2: build a mild trail rig
phase 3: throw some serious upgrades at this jeep

ok so here's a more current update on my 1993 base model

bought it for $1000 in january 2012. was warned of a vapor leak. ignored it
towed to the shop for $160 because of bad tires and non op

nope, apparently not non op. $225 and one current registration later...

vacuum leak. $600 to get it to pass smog
I was really stoked because I thought I got a great deal on this xj
but now I'm in it for $2000 and it's still a POS
really hoping my luck turns around..

well I think I stumbled across a good deal...
I really didnt have the money for this after that big hit from the smog. but I thought it was worth it

picked it up for $400 incomplete. needs pins, hardware, ubolts, and a couple other things
the springs and coils are brand new. the CA's and track bar are slightly used
I'll probably have to rebuild this ball joint

Soon to come::
- radiator
- water pump
- 195* t-stat
- B&M automatic transmission cooler

and I've already got a guy thats holding on to some tires for me until I come up with the money
the lift and tires should get on there in no less than 2 months

got bored and did my cut and fold. love this upgrade
weapon of choice:: die grinder

it's really easy all you need is a grinder, 10mm socket, pliers
start with the front because worst case scenario you can replace the front fender
front takes way longer than the rear too

today I used my favorite tool (impact gun) to delete the rear sway bar
it rides a lot smoother now

and of course had to test it out. I take too many pictures
this project is coming along nicely

And before isold mine I found a vac leak but luckily it was small and I fixed it with heat shrink. Haha free and I'd hate to deal with emissions
