Just bought this today from the guy I sold my XJ to a few years back.
This truck is some how rust free for being in the NE.

I'd put some aftermarket flares on it, drop the suspension down 6"s!

That's how it looked when I bought it.
Has a 9" lift. I'm going to pull the coil spacers and blocks out to settle it down.

So for some reason I cannot comprehend. This truck has one working brake caliper, other 3 wheels have no brakes and it was driven that way... It is missing a RH caliper and a rear hose. Both clamped off with vise grips.
The front shocks are at max travel they way it sits. Still has original rear shocks. They mounting bracket are on top of the springs.. I love this truck but my god it's set up sooo wrong!
Well Tuesday I'm getting it registered. I ordered parts just so it can be decently road worthy for now. No trails just yet! I still have a lot of work to perfect it.

And yes when I bought it.. I called AAA to bring it home. Even the driver said it's a badass rig.

Badass vs proper setup lol. But happy to see you know what you're looking at, i bet it'll be proper and safe to drive soon. Have you checked brake fluids? I'm wondering if the front or rear that has no brakes at all has no fluid.

And stock steering and blocks in the rear... I hope it at least has a SYE. Lots of work ahead but I still like it!

Yes this thing has short arms, stock steering and 3" blocks/spacers.
Spacers and blocks are getting chucked in the trash. Than I gotta see how it sits. I'll most likely grab LA's in the near future. Steering I am trying to decide which high steer vendor I'll go with.
There is no SYE. Scary... I ordered a SYE from Advanced Adapters. I will install that after I decide the ride height so I can get a rear shaft made.

Again. I have not done any work to this truck yet. This is how I bought it. Just sitting in my back yard while I wait for parts to be delivered.
I am going to correct all the BS hackery.
