today i started to fininshing wirings and replaced valve cover gasket. hard work and winter is coming! couple of weeks and i can drive it again.

 

...still going with wirings. I did a powerbox and fusebox for fans, lights and for other coming soon stuff.

..and heater blower is impossible to put in place again, maybe i have to install it from inside. firewall is blocking one screw. I really dont want to uninstall the dashboard. I have to get this thing running again.

 

The dash isn't terribly difficult, except for the rivets.

 

heater motor is back in place, one screw was a real ****. ...just couple shots from my cramped garage.

Hey, what does this 230mm front axle means? Maybe stupid question but is it dana 30? I tried to google but no answers. And what means heavy duty shocks and those spring rates?

Can anyone help with the vacuum line schenatics? I have fsm but from there i cant find full vacuum schematic for 4.0 xj( only 2.5l and sj, wrangler....but no 4.0l xj), model is 1990.

 

Just boght these hella 500, new overflowbottle, upper hose and steering stabilizer which came without any hardware

still have to fit interior, sandblast and paint bumbers&winter steelies.

the 230mm is the diameter of the axle and the heavy duty shocks im guessing is the compression or the gauging of the shocks but not too sure.

really like that you rebuilt so much of the xj. good work and keep it up.
so jealous of Finland wheeling. its one of the places i would to vacation in some time.

 

Ok. Thanks. In couple of weeks i get this running then i take my dog and we go for night over trip. Cant wait. Also im gonna get russian visa again for the cheap gaso, vodka and ciggies

...haha, took 3 hours to take old stabilizer off and install new one due to lack of space in my garage. I used the old bushes, seemed to be fine...we'll see. Tomorrow I drill a hole for lockpin.

 

not much rust on the floors (yet)


I sanded and painted the floors with hammerite, then put some insulation.




Cleaned old dirty carpet with turtle wax interior cleaner using brush and vacuum cleaner. not perfect but good enough.
