And yeah there are a lot of trails in my area, I love it.
How much trimming and bumpstopping are you going to have to do with just 2 inches?

tj flares and bumpstops for a 4 inch lift. along with shocks and brake lines for a 4 inch lift. im acctauly thinking of going up 1.5 inches and getting all the listed stuff in the 6 inch variity

You need to put a wooden 2X10 on top of that pile of cement blocks next time you set this up - and position the blocks like a house foundation - not on their sides. on their sides, those cement blocks can very easily crack with the pressure point of those jack stand legs on it. I'm freaking out just looking at this photo...

You need to put a wooden 2X10 on top of that pile of cement blocks next time you set this up - and position the blocks like a house foundation - not on their sides. on their sides, those cement blocks can very easily crack with the pressure point of those jack stand legs on it. I'm freaking out just looking at this photo...
It will be fine, those cement blocks are no where near their load limit. We've been doing it like that for years. Plus, I don't have any 2x10.

Made a little progress today, I'm happy to be working on the Jeep again and actually have a nice garage to work out of. The new house is a good change from the apartment.
The paint on the rockers had started to peel a little because of rust underneath that wasn't fully removed, so I touched it up.
Also decided to spend 10 minutes fixing my power windows, now all of my window switches in all of the doors work like they should. <- Favorite fix of the day.
This is all you need, and you really don't even need the tape.
Remove kick panel.
Tie these wires in together.
Bam, windows are fixed.
Also cleaned up my rusty hitch and painted it a fresh black.
Rust removal and prepping.
In progress.
Painted the 8.25 cover as well, I was tired of seeing the leaky fill plug. Now it makes the rest of my axle look terrible. I would pressure wash it but since I go wheeling so much it would only be clean for a few days tops.
Final coat on the hitch.
All finished.
Painted the center of the hubs as well to make the wheels look better. The dookie color really took away from the shiny Cragars.
That's all for today. More updates later.

When you remove the kick panel unplug the harness that has the three wires coming from it, the wires are black, tan, and yellow. Use about a 4" piece of 14 or 16 gauge wire and splice the tan and yellow wires together on the female side of the harness. Boom! You now have working windows haha.

thanks man...and by the way your jeep looks good, i just ordered a 3 in. for mine and am going to get some 31's in a little bit....i like your offroading spot too my buddies and i do that kind of stuff all the time

I think I've spent enough for today haha. Funny enough all of those things (tires, CB stuff, flares, and exhaust) all added up to just a little more than what I was prepared to pay for a new set of 31" Duratracs. I think I made a good decision and came out ahead.

Nice lookin build. Its funny, every I was reading along on the first couple I was like "man this guy needs some tires," the next line was you saying "man I need some tires!" lol Bet you coulda been through the mud hole with some better rubber.

Here is all four tires. The top two I bought from a guy that works at the local Jeep dealership, he had these just laying in the shop and no one wanted them. They are brand new never mounted and still have the stickers on them. The very bottom tire was used as a full size spare and has maybe 50 miles on it according to the guy I bought it from. The second from bottom tire has about 5k miles on it and is worn a little unevenly, but still has plenty of tread on it. I got all of them for $440.
Didn't have a coin so I used a washer. There is a lot of rubber there.
