Well Bertha is on her last legs...

Found this this morning...



Drove down to JCR to see about getting it fixed, but the rust has won...

So Pyrate and I are looking for a new XJ to replace her.

Preferably under $1500, and as close to $1000 as we can get.

The search begins!

 

ouch! sorry to see/read that! goodluck on finding another XJ! what yr you shootin for?

 

Any years, as long as it the frame is in good shape.

Everything I have put on her can go on any other XJ.

I plan on stripping this one down to the rails and keeping all the usable parts. So I will even look at XJs with blown axles, tranny or TC since I have good ones I can swap in.

 

i dont know about down to the rails, but maybe bare unibody.

 

And the tare down begins!













Should have the last of the suspension off tomorrow.

i live near mt pleasant mi. actually its 30 mins west of alma, mi. Did u find a new jeep yet? we should go wheelin sometime. i got some more guys that like to go wheelin? have you ever heard of TAJEEPS?

 

Ya, been up to Mt. Pleasant a few times.

And yes, have a new one sitting in the driveway just waiting for the parts from this build. All thats left is one leaf spring (Damn inner nut broke its welds.)

I will let you know when I we head out again. But right now the Blessing will be the next big wheeling event for us.

We usually hit Twisted on Sunday, but we have to take off early to get back to BC.

But ya, we may hit Twisted up after we have had our fill of the blessing.
