After a quick (LOL) axle swap in the rain, I now have a Chrysler 8.25 out of a '94. So a slight upgrade.

But... Now it looks like the alternator has gone out. More wrenching! Going to go and rip the old out and pick up another one.

After that, on to the Badlands!

***UPDATE***

Well, I seized up the rear end. One more turdy-5 down... Apparently difs do not like to run on just mud.

So after some calling around, some long hours working in the rain I now have a Chrysler 8.25. So a slight upgrade. So the leason to be learned...

nice build, I'm in the works of doing the same thing. Let me know how the adjustable trac bar works for you.

how do you like those tires? a couple of my buddies have them, and they seem to wear out pretty quick, and get sliced pretty easily... but we usually go into old limerock pits... which is the reason for them slicing so much, but i was just wondering how theyve help up for you?

Most tires these days usually wears off... Only few has the ability to last long...
Hard to tell if they are dependable until you've tried using them...

So far, I like them. I don't do anything hardcore but they have held up great.

One bonus, I put some small cuts in one from the tubes at the Badlands. Took it back to Pepboys and they are replacing it the "road hazard" that I got on them...

***Update***

Well its tax time again, and as per the Jeep laws of the world Bertha is demanding money...

The last time out I looks like I blew the front driveshaft as well as the front pinion bearing. Oh well. Looks like I will be adding that to the list of new stuff I am getting done to her.

So, hopefully by the end of the week she will be into the local shop (JCR Offroad) for the following...

Fix up front axle
New front driveshaft (still debating on getting a used one or upgrading)
New TC skid fabbed up like one that Cherokee Nation used to sell
Fabbed up brackets to make brush guard off a blazer work.
New rear bumper with tire swing out.

If I have enough left over, then new wheels for more back spacing and a roof rack...

Ya for tax deductions!

Yup, located in Kalamazoo MI. About 25 mins from my house in Battle Creek.

Real nice being able to pick up bumpers and such and avoiding the shipping charges. LOL

Well, calculate your gas to the stadium rd exit on 131. They are right near there. Then see how much it would cost to ship.

Great guys down there, and there are always projects in the lot as well as the shop.
