I've had 2 runs on it and no issues.

My buddy showed up with a Dana 44 he pulled at the junk yard for me. Pretty good friend I'd say.

8.8 Disc's & Detroit, wouldn't have mine any other way.
I went with 4.56 gears.

Correct. The stock 3/4 circle clips are insufficient in more extreme wheeling to hold the caps in place. Either installing full-circle clips or welding is standard practice. The full-circle clips require grinding away some metal from the ears so I went with welding.

I still have the D44 on the side of the house. Some day when I have a couple grand I'll rebuild/regear everything. Agreed, 8.8 is a fine choice too.

Sick rig man love all the under armor. When you cut and folded your fenders in the rear how do you know how far you can go before hitting the pinch weld?

No, I was saying out the disc brakes off an 8.8 and put them on your d44. It doesn't take a grand to build the axle. I bought my Detroit used.

Just couldn't decide were to mount my CB and finally came up with rails. Also not sure how I feel about the black on green. Seems like too much contrast.

Also mounted the new steering stabilizer and used the Currie mount. Every other mount on the market are too small, too thin or just crap. The Currie is super heavy and fits well.

Building new bumpers and passenger side plate. I already have a C-Rok inner/outer steering stiffeners and couldn't see paying $65 just for the passenger plate. C-Rok stuff is bad-*** though. Don't worry, since this picture I've drilled the remaining holes. Thickness for the tube boxes was chosen just because that's what was available in surplus.

Bumpers:
Front: 2 x 4 x 1/4 box
Rear: 3 x 4 x 3/16 box
