^^^ Thanks. I was going to eventually paint it OD green but the wife likes the current color and shot down that plan. She's been really cool about the whole Jeep thing so I'll have to give her this one. Even if it's just a little thing this will make her involved.
My buddy gave me his C-Rok steering reinforcement plates. Since I don't have a recovery point I was thinking of welding a hook to the side and angled down. Not sure if I have time before the 19th with everything else I need to finish up.
Plus, even though the wife has said it's OK that I've been spending so much time working on the Jeep lately she doesn't mind. Still I need to make this weekend all about her.

I have no 1st hand experience so I had to go with several sources. Jeep Cherokee Builders Guide, a few friends already run this size, and recommendations from this forum. All recommend 15x8 for this size tire. Looks good to me.

and you'll rip it off the first time you attempt to use it. its a good concept but poor execution. you should have used steel not aluminum.

The idea is good but like stated wont last long. and also how low does it actually sit compared to the front bumper this veiw almost makes it seem like it would catch on obsticles.

C-Rok steering reinforcement kit with hook bolted and welded to the side will be the semi-permanent setup until I get a real bumper.
It's fully under the bumper and behind the invisible line between the bumper and tire.
Thanks. I really wanted a later model with an 4.0 HO and C8.25 but for $1200 and low miles I couldn't pass it up. The engine has good power even with the larger tires and the long term plan is a D44 anyway. I'm actually liking it a lot.
