Feel bad I didn't realize I haven't updated this at all. I got the stroker back in mid-march. I ultimately ended up bringing the block back and decking it more after talking to Russ P so I could get a better quench/fuel burn with the aluminum head. I also had the crank shaved down and got new bearings obv. It still makes a noise tho I suspect it's the flex plate now... Which I will not be dealing with any time soon. I Have probably around 800 miles on v2.0 and all remains well. I'll do a more in depth post soon bc I also installed the blue top gear box and hydro assist setup among probably other things I'm forgetting. Stay tuned
Quite the saga you've been going through here! Thank you for taking us through your trials and tribulations. Sometimes people's threads can make it seem like they effortlessly work through these complex builds, and maybe they do, but certainly not on their first time. I spent most of my winter beating my head against the wall before throwing money at my issue and having someone else fix it.
The stroker is going to be great when its done. I think you'll be very happy after proper tuning and getting these details correct. Plus, you're gaining skills and knowledge that you don't learn just from reading online.
I'll be curious to keep an eye out as you wrap this all up. Last year I started to pay more attention to how my rig was running and have been curious about tuning. I'm less power-hungry and more just want to make sure its running well. I've had 4-hole injectors (784's on my 1999) forever, and really am just learning about how they are likely making my rig run rich in open-loop mode. Heck, I'm really just learning what open-loop mode is and when its being used compared to taking info from the O2's!
