what did that cost you if you don't mind me asking. My steering wheel is starting to fall apart and look like crap, but I hate the steering wheel covers.

Got the new steering wheel installed today. It is really really nice, thank you Autowoods.









Also decided to wash all the funk off of it.

 

With the rear sitting a little tall causing a rake and pointing the reverse lights up, I decided to add a cube to the system and install underneath the bumper. Came out really nice.





Should be about perfect.

I added a set of lights to the rear of my rack to accomplish the same thing, how did you wire yours? relay from the reverse circuit? or separately switched?

 

That revers light setup is a good idea. I pondered putting lights flush in the rear bumper but now I see why you did it and aimed it towards the ground. Good call.

 

I wired directly to the stock wiring, with the LED bulbs in the tail lights and the low draw on the single dually it is fine.

Thanks, I just needed more light with the tinted windows and I like being able to see when I am backing up.

I know I know, BUT I have been driving my truck and really enjoy the carrying capacity. I may just buy a small trailer.

 

buy a trailer! Keep the jeep! I use my trailer all the time behind my jeep and it's great. The interior room of an SUV and the bed of a truck. Also with a trailer you can throw whatever in it and not worry about scratches or dents. My neighbor has a newer f-150 but always calls me up whenever he needs to take something to the dump because he doesn't want to scratch his truck.

 

Any pics? What size trailer? I am thinking 5 x 8-10 like 3k lb axle.

 

I have a 4x8 trailer with 2' walls all 1/4 plate. I bought it for $275 and it had brand new tires on it. It currently has a 2k 4 lug axle but since the tires were brand new I said I'll wait till the tires are toast before swapping in a 3.5k 5 lug axle. before any modifications Welded on links of chain for tie downs Welded on two poles to the front that a weed eater sits on (I use it for landscaping) you can see one in the picture Welded a basket on the front for gas cans
