Alex's 2000 XJ DD
Just a tip... you shouldn't wire 12v electronics the same way you would house wiring... meaning... don't twist the wires together like an A and tape the top... Instead twist them together at the base where the strands start then lay it down to one side and then wrap the whole thing as a cylinder. This keeps it from ever coming apart. Think of the tape as a butt connector. You wouldn't put two wires in the one side and leave the other end exposed...
It' sa neat mod though!

Yeah I understand what your saying and normally i would have done it like that except all of the connections are soldered together and the tape is just there to cover it up. The A style is just easier to solder.
Thanks
Thanks
Nice xj.Couple tips though, don't buy bolts at home depot, lowes, etc.go to a tractor supply or farm store. You can buy by the pound.much cheaper. You could of wired the light to the radio light wire,or in older xj's,there are spots in the fuse box for lights, batt power, and ignition power.

I meant the radio illumination wire.the wire that turns the light on the radio and dims it,just like the rest of the lights.(not the led's that light the numbers)
just trying to help ya.30 bucks for bolts is alot for machine screws.and that's along way to go for a interior light tie in.
but thanks.

Okay guys I finally got my lift I drove down w/ my mom of course lol and got it from a local jeep outfitter. I got a bunch of things. Total bill was around 430 so it wasnt too bad for all the stuff i got.
Heres all the boxes taking up a whole corner of my computer room.

Now for more detail
First, I got the Rough Country 3 inch AAL kit.
Including...
-Coil springs

-The Add a Leaf and hardware

-A set of 4 Hydro shocks....dang are those suckers heavy

I also picked up a new rear brake line after going to the local auto parts store and asking for YJ lines. Both Napa and Murrays Auto parts gave me quotes for over 35 bucks and they had to order them and they were rubber. So I figured i would just get a Rough Country one. Which I thought was rubber too. But when I opened the box I was delighted to find it was Braided Stainless steel and for only 27 bucks it was cheaper than the YJ rubber lines.
Heres a pic - Its also made for 4-5 inches of lift so thats good

I also dont like the idea of just re-drilling the track bar hole so i picked up a Rough Country Adj. track bar whick i think is a nice product and was highly recomended for my setup. and for 100 bucks it wasnt bad.

I am pleased with these products I recieved all of my parts and hardware and they quality is great. On monday I will being taking the kit and my jeep to my school where we have a full service shop and installing everything. I plan on doing the AAL at my house so i can refurbish my old springs and paint them up so I will take more pics. BTW to do this im going to have to have my leaf springs in my locker for a day lol.
