Seriously, owning a vehicle that costs as much as my jeep does that sits 95% of the time is a bit rough... Its a good thing that 90% of its cost come from my youtube channel/amazon partnership, or my wife would have used the jeep to bury my body in the desert somewhere...
I know the feeling all too well! I am hoping I am about at a stopping point for now. There is not much left to replace.
I think I'm going to have to swap engines. I think this one is toast. (I bought it used, from a shop that told me it was "recently rebuilt" but lied big time)

You should go after those scumbags...Too bad there are people like that. Hopefully it's all good now for some family trips.

I talked to a lawyer, I signed the paperwork that says "as is, no warranties, used parts" I could possibly get the cost of parts (but not labor) back from them. but by the time I've paid laywer, court, and other fees, I've paid for a new engine.
Just rebuild it yourself. Super easy to do and would probably end up saving some money. The only special tools you really need are a ring compressor and TQ wrench.
If I pull it, I really want to put in something with better fuel economy and torque, and obd2 capabilities.
Plus I am really crap at doing my own repairs. I tend to have to do everything twice, sometimes three times, because I screw stuff up the first time around.
I plan on saving up and buying a 4 door wrangler in the next few years.
I plan on keeping the truck for now, because having a truck around has been beyond super helpful and handy.
I have a new daily driver:
I'll be doing a lot of upgrades/changes to it, so worth subbing to my main channel if you are into that.
Nice, I'm kinda leaning towards getting a 4dr Wrangler in the future as well. Especially with that new Hurricane engine or a diesel option for the US. We would have more room for our daughter and dog, probably will get as good if not better gas mileage than our '17 Patriot be able to tow a bit more etc...plus it's basically the only non ugly new car offered now a days, lol.

I'm hoping with the release of the new wrangler, I hope the price of JKU's will drop. Probably not. but here's to hoping. OR That a base model will be under $25k msrp. also highly unlikely. I am done making car payments so hoping to save up and pay cash for something.

Well once I get my MSP sorted, I'll start taking my Truck off road. I know its not a jeep, but I will be able to go further and take more awesome pictures.
