So now that this has shown up I figure its time to start my build thread!

I have an 89 Cherokee called the BFG (name comes from my licence plate BFG ####) Bought it earlier this year for $500, and have more than 3x that in repair and parts. but its all good.

Day I brought it home:

They SUCKED (the tire) so decided to get some Good A/T tires.

Final product:

I've had a number of mechanical issues, current one:

But now that I have my metal cloak lift, its time to step things up. (and get my jeep running!)

Got my new brake lines installed, and old lower control arms off. Haven't installed the new ones since I have a question on measuring. Do I measure from end to end, or bolt hole to bolt hole? not sure...

I'm an idiot.

I got my springs installed just fine, got the passenger side upper control arm off without too much issue. got the axle bolt of the drivers side of easy, went to do the frame rail bolt and lost my socket into the frame when the socket slid off the bolt... That doesn't make me an idiot, what I did next does... I grabbed my other 15mm socket and almost immediately lost it as well into the frame rail... so I'm stuck until I can figure out how to fish those out of there....

any suggestions? I figure a flexible line with a magnet on the end should do the trick i think. just don't have one.

awesome progress today, in the short time I've been able to work on it. top control arms installed, bottoms lightly tightened (instructions say to wait until its on the ground to finish snugging stuff up. and will have to do an alignment too, so probably will snug everything up after that) Got the driver's side shock installed and the passenger partially installed. I didn't have the top mounting hardware in the box so left a message with metal cloak in regards to getting that. started the install of the sway bar disconnects too. but stopped to get ready for a family function tonight. Video is uploading right now should be done in the next 30 minutes or so.
