and the verdict is....... Its still a piece of ****. It stalls still when you put on a medium amount of throttle and then let off, something you do often when driving off road, or in parking lots, or making turns. so its still dangerous to drive anywhere.

I haven't looked back in your thread but what have you done to fix this stalling problem?

New TPS, adjusted to cruiser's specs, new injectors, new vacuum lines, new iac, new intake/exhaust gasket, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new fuel pressure regulator, new spark plugs, wires, distro cap and rotor, new tb gasket, and other things I cannot think of off the top of my head.

Does it start find cold? MAP sensor on mine is grounding out intermittently and it runs like crap... haven't had time to chase it down, and it's so far gotten me to and from the airport. Some days it runs wonderfully and others like crap.
Edit: Also do your O2's or CPS yet?

Yes and yes, both are brand new, good quality ones I just installed while putting in a new exhaust header, since it was so easy to do it right then and there.
Starts fine cold, runs fine at all rpms. the ONLY problem i have, and it is a big one, is if you push quickly on the accelerator, doesn't have to be very hard, and then let go again quickly, it stumbles and often stalls. most often happens in like a parking lot when you go to reverse out of a spot, or when you are off road, and you are on and off the throttle a lot going over rocks and stuff.
I'll post a video soon showing what it did today so you can hear it.

So, not all is lost, I spent time today screwing around with sensors, and it seems like it may not stall anymore. won't be able to tell until I actually put load on the engine (driving it around) and I have no idea what shape the transmission is it. It was NOT happy last time I drove it, but since I haven't moved it more than a few feet from the last time I went out, i cannot really say how it is right now. Picking up a throttle cable tomorrow and will replace tomorrow.
Things on my to-do list still:
1) check the fluid in the front diff (has developed a minor leak)
2) make sure the front axle is centered, make sure that's not the reason it is hitting the exhaust
3) replace the oil pan gasket
4) have somebody replace the transmission pan gasket and filter
5) replace the o rings on the oil filter adapter
6) new wheels
7) new seats
8) roll cage
9) replace the valve cover gasket
10) maybe actually drive it?
11) do something about the brakes.
12)?
13) profit.

You're doing the oil pan gasket yourself but thinking about paying someone else to do the transmission pan? Trans pan is easy as long as you do this mod: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/aw4...16/#post725546
I spent about 2 hours fidgeting with mine, heating, twisting pulling banging etc etc ended up breaking where the top section bolts to the block and had to cut it anyways.

Paying somebody else to do the transmission pan because it will require at least 3 bolt extractions. the PO broke one bolt head, and stripped 2 others. or the shop he took it to (pep boys) did.
