well i didn't get alot done on saturday .. had some things to take care of at the church. but i did manage to get my rear bumper started. I am using the same size steel 3x5x1/4 wall that i used in the front. I made some plates out of 1/4" steel and drilled hole in them to tie it into the stock location. Then used 2"x2" heavy wall tubing to tie the actual bumper to the plate. I am planning on using this same tubing to extend the bumper forward under the rear qtr. then i will run it over and connect it to the chasis.
I also found two of my old clevis hooks and sand blasted them and put a fresh coat of paint on.
Thinking of puting air fittings on the two bumpers so that i could fill them up at home and then air back up later with out having a compressor on board. Has any one here done this and if so was there enough air to fill up all 4 tires?

barrowed a tire and wheel from a friend today and threw it on just to get an idea of what it gunna look like.
the tire was a 33x12.5 on 15" wheel with 3.75" bs.
i gained alot of room by cutting the rear qtr and by folding the fenders.
I also cut the front fenders today. not sure if i like the look but def. gained alot of room. I think i may mod the stock flares and put them back on up higher
i clamped them in place and i think they look pretty good. ill get some pics of them up her in a bit.
i set the lift so that the top of the roof rack was 72.5" from the ground which is a little more than 4 " over stock.

well guys i have been doing alot of work on the jeep past couple weeks but i have been busy and forgot all about posting the progress so i thought i would give you all an update on whats been going on.
i will start with the rear bumper. built that out of the same material as the front (3x5 tubing 1/4 wall). then i ran 2x2 tubing under there rear guarter.
boxed the ends in with 1/4 inch plate same plate was used to mount it to the stock location.

painted the bumper and i have also installed a 4.5 inch rc lift with the full leaf pac. the old springs were shot and one was broken. i also got 4 bfg mud terrains on ar rims for 550.00 all of the have 90% tread on them. and i got the gears installed that my buddy gave me. I put new bearings and seals in both axles while i hade them apart. I also made some quick discos for the front sway bar and removed the rear one. i got alot of lift in the rear and took it for a spin to see about drive line vibes. it vibrates prety bad under acceleration so ive got to do something about that. the t case drop wase just over an inch but i think i will have to do a s.y.e. kit. here she is as of today.
