Default Adding a lift kit...

I'm looking at putting a litf kit on my 97. I want to do a 4.5 inch lift but my uncle seems to think anything over 3 inches will ruin the ride. This is going to be a tar baby for the most part. I'm 20 and not looking for comfort. I also will be driving from Buffalo NY to Maine on occasion. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Many 3" kits ride rougher than a 4.5". The reason is that the three inches is gained with a higher spring rate front and rear. The 4.5 uses longer springs.

whenever you lift your jeep you will sacrifice ride quality. but lifted jeeps sure as hell look better than stockers, no matter what the ride quality
