I know this is a little old but i have a '99 SE that was a municipal beach vehicle...just as barebones basic as yours. The speaker wires are behind the right trim panel in the rear. They terminate into a plug that is sitting there in that inside wheelwell. I got a headliner from a wrecked '01 with a soundbar, speakers and wiring harness. Just put it in mine and plugged that harness into the plug behind the trim panel and bam!!!! I had sound in the back. Its already all prewired to the head unit harness.

I'll have to take a look for them. Forgot I also got a nicer sub setup for it. Didn't see the wires back there when installing, but wasn't looking for them, either.
