Default 98 cherokee 3" lift?

I am considering putting a 3" suspension lift on my 1998 jeep cherokee sport.. I'm on a budget and i been on roughcountry.com and they offer a 3" lift with and with out the control arms and there is about $100 difference it the kits. Do I need the control arms or will my stock ones work? And do you know of any cheaper sites or one with better deals? Thank you

Get the rough country 3" with full leaf spring packs and the lower control arms. Best bang for the buck, and the control arms make for a much better ride and back to stock feeling. Whatever you do, do not get AALs. (add a leafs). I have the 3" kit from RC and cut fenders and am running 32's. I have no need to go bigger and its my dd. Love it!

Im running a 3" Rough Country lift with the AAL's with cut fenders and 33's. The ride is decent. Definitly get the control arms. I am getting some soon. Ride will be much smoother.

The rear springs can be a pain. Rent a spring compressor for the front, it'll save time from dropping the back axle. Be prepared to break all 4 rear upper shock mount bolts. As in, be prepared by already having access to an air chisel and replacement bolts, washers, nuts. Don't cut a hole in your floorboard, just have some patience and get it done underneath (lots of fishing with a magnet). Other than that, pretty straight forward. I would recommend getting some sway bar disconnects too with extended links as opposed to the swaybar drop brackets. You can get rough country ones on ebay for around $35 in scratch and dent right now I believe, it was an overstocked item for them.

I meant to say it'll save time from dropping the whole axle, not "back axle". Stupid autocorrect

use a lot of pb blaster on all the bolts for a few days before the install, it will make everything easier, and take your time so you dont break bolts.

For sure do the Pb blaster every day for at least 3 days before the switch over, it took me 11 and a half hours to put mine on because everything went wrong with the rear leafs and I mean everything. Make sure you go slow that's key. Like everybody said before watch out for the rear shock bolts one or two will for sure break I just bought a punch and punched out the weld bolts and fished in some new nuts and went from there was pretty easy fix, for sure don't cut through the floor total waste of time.

If you have any questions when going through putting on the lift just pm me I check emails all the time and will usually responde within 15 mins or so.

have you tried a transfer case drop for the vibration? I made one out of square tubing, cured up most of my vibes.
