Pulled the spark plugs and did a compression test. Forgot to hold open the throttle but I did and experiment on the last one and it only gained me ~ 2 psi so seems like that's close enough.

I've been getting traces of coolant in my UOAs so guessing head gasket needs to be done.

Switched over to DD the "new" ZJ. So far so good.

Was going to be cool outside and wifey wanted to try my gun:O...Anywho I wanted to take the ZJ in case we could find anywhere adventurous to go. But you know jeep projects, figured it'd take an hour so I estimated 2, took 3. You always run into little things as you go. First I wanted to get a front drive shaft on her so to the parts ZJ. The main slip joint was rusted, Ace/ATF and PB did nothing but luckily the Rezzeppa has a bit of slip in it, just enough to get it out. Stupid rust kept falling on me

Then in case we did go anywhere needed to have a decent spare...Parts ZJ had the factory one! But a bit too small to match with worn 31's IMO. Shiny object alert!

Wouldn't look to bad on the MK, but the rims don't fit over the fron brake calipers IIRC

Grabbed the 30x9.5 and crammed it in the stock leather thing, also had to grab the tire rod/holder thingy from the parts jeep

Dang man... looks like it's time to strip all the worthwhile goodies off the parts ZJ and send the shell off to the scrap yard!

That's been the plan...if only I could quit my job temporarily and get paid to work on my Jeep😁.

I need some help figuring out why my 95 jeep Cherokee sport is still overheating, I have replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat and the heater control valve. I also have flushed the system twice and it is still overheating. Any thoughts as to what else could be wrong?

Are you sure you have all of the air out of the system? It sometimes helps to park the jeep on an upward slope while it's running to get all the air out. Maybe your electric and/or mechanical fan need looking at? With the engine off you should only be able to spin the mechanical fan 1/4 to 1/2 a turn by "throwing it". If it spins freely it may not be flowing enough air.

Thanks for the advice. So if both fans are spinning freely that means they are both bad?

Electric one should spin freely. Mechanical one should not.

With engine off check how well they spin. With engine on, unplug the coolant temp sensor and the electric one should turn on.

I will give this a try.

You and me both, man! I started on the ZJ seat install for the passenger side after I finished my console upgrade. Got the bracket all done and was test-threading the bolt into the nut I had just welded on. The bolt snapped as I was unthreading it... so know I have a broken bolt in my "brand new" bracket :brickwall:

Everything inside me wants to call out from work and fix it lol

Start a youtube channel. You won't be able to quit your job. but you could get paid for some of the work you do to your jeep.

yeah...I'd have to do a lot of video editing. I don't mind the Jeepin vids as those are pretty straight forward and usually don't need much editing...lol plus I'm terrible at explaining things unless I have someone "interpreting" or I can proof read and rewrite many times before sending

Tell me about it... I've already filled up a 30 gig hard drive on my Sony camcorder... all of it is waiting on editing for my YT channel.
