Saturday was a long day in the shop. I was only able to get one of the 2x6 rockers in. I spent most of the day working on 3 linking the front and rear of a TJ. Also, yesterday I picked up a brand new spare tire. Now I just have to decide if I want to put it on an H2 wheel or just get a steel wheel.

There are no more rockers there, clear picture.
Are you going to angle and cap the ends?

Yes I am. Once the a pillars are in I’ll trim and angle them.

Finished up the cb in the dash, welded in the supports for the passenger side rocker, welded in the drivers side rocker and bent up some A-pillars for the cage.

Looks good love those rockers!!! I like how you repurposed the original radio configuration to your CB. I may have to do the same since my radio don't work and don't really care to have one.

Thanks. I actually really like having music but found that I never listen to the radio or cds. I always have my phone plugged in. So, I decided the head unit was a waste and made an aux cord that plugged straight into an amp. Now I’ve got the same music but no head unit.

Well they make bluetooth speakers nowadays so you could always just mount one of those in your jeep and run some app or music thing on your phone fo rmusic.

That they do. But, I already had the amp and wiring and it cost a whole $5 to make the aux cable. Maybe down the road I'll look into a blue-tooth amp once the prices on them come down but for now, this works very well.

Edit** JBL makes, what looks like, a very nice BT amp and it's offered in a 5 channel version so I may look into that. It'll give me full control of the front/rear speakers and then be able to power a sub-woofer. It's really peaked my interest but it'll be some time before I head down that path.

I'll be honest I over looked what you said about the aux cable as I see now yes that will work just as good. JBL makes BT amp now? How cool I will have to check that out. Makes sense with the way technology has gone. Wireless is the way to go as long as it is within prox. you should not get any interferance.

I bought my Comanche and it had an 80s deck in it, and a couple of amps. The deck stopped working the day I brought it home so I ripped everything out except one amp and the speakers and run an aux cord for mine.

Last night I made some time to work on the jeep some more. I got the A-pillars in but need to finish a few welds. I also need to bend up a cowl bar to tie them together. It's slowly coming together.
