Oh that's cool. I'll keep that in mind if I ever go with that tire size.

I scored a Spectre cowl intake. It should be shipping out today so it's here by the weekend. It's used but I don't care since they don't make them anymore.

Got the cowl intake installed last night along with some padding on the B pillar so no one smacks their head on it.

After the trip this weekend, this intake is worth it. So before I give you my results, here's what I'm working with.

Stock 4.0
60mm throttle body
44/60 w/ 4.88s
37/12.5 BFG Bajas

So, I averaged 16 mpg with both hwy and city driving. 2200 rpm is the sweet spot. That's 65 mph. It no longer downshifts going up the hills on I-85 between Durham and Greensboro. Intake temps are way down and help with the overall engine temps. With the sound of the tires, music, and general jeep noises, the intake is not noticeable.

^^Good to know! My goal is 35s eventually and I was thinking 4.56s was the magic number. Sounds like I'm on the right track.

Picked up a loaner trailer this past weekend. Jeep barely fits between the fenders but itll do. Headed to Pots Mt this weekend for some wheeling.

Don't you want to back it up a little bit on the trailer to balance out your load some more? Less weight on the tongue that way.

Yes. It has been moved back. When loading it the first time, it was a trial and error with how far forward to place it.

AH ok... Was only saying that 'cause I used to be under the impression that all loads should be placed as far forward as possible... until I learned about weight distribution.

Wheeled up at Pots Mt this past weekend with CTB. It was a blast. This was the first time the rig has been trailered ever.

After twisting up the bumper last weekend I decided to just cut it down. It now looks like a stubby wrangler bumper. I got it painted last night and will install tonight. Here's some pics to keep you occupied until I install it.

Got the bumper installed. Also flexed out the jeep to see where I need to trim.
