I would give it a shot at least. Gravity should have enough of an effect on it to allow MOST of the water to drain down, I would think. Might be able to find a flat-ish windshield washer bottle or radiator overflow tank to use as the catch can and squeeze it in somewhere.

The intake has a turn down at the firewall that I put on with the hopes to never have this problem. The vacuum from the intake is enough to lift the water and suck it in. I'm thinking of just making a dam in the cowl to funnel the water away from the intake. If I can keep the water flowing on the wall opposite of the intake, then it should be fine.

But, to be honest, I probably won't do anything with this. This is the first time it's happened. If I have this problem again or find myself driving the Jeep more, I will go through with finding a fix but until then, I'm just gonna roll with it.

Ah, I wondered about that. Well hey, if anything, you get an effortless steam-cleaning done to your engine

Hey I like that pic haha. Honestly I forgot it was even there.

In other news, I have determined the water inhilation issue was a fluke. I believe the substaional about of rain that was coming down in that short time is what caused it. I drove just under 100 miles tonight in the rain with zero issues.

So, as far as solutions go, short answer is - don't drive in a monsoon.

Exactly. If I have any issues in the future, I'll just disconnect from the firewall and point the inlet down. Then there's no issue.

Participated in the CTB Fun Caravan this past weekend. After the games we wheeled Big Creek. I'm still having issues with my power steering pump and have an fuel evaporation leak. It was a fun time.
