Took apart the nss last night, cleaned it up and regreased it. Here's a small write up.

Nss is on the passenger side of the tranny.

(Not shown because its off, but its located there.)

Unplug electrical pigtail at the rear of the engine block. And remove attaching bolt off nss and loosen adjusting nut.

Once its off remove 6 screws and pull covers apart, clean all existing dialectic grease out gentle brush the copper contacts. Then add fresh grease and put the nss back on and connect it

rolled over 275,000 miles! cannot wait until the first digit is a 3.
thinking about buying the bumper set off nates4x4. 475+tax on 2 bumpers? thats ridiculously good.

can't decide if i want a winch bumper& rear tire carrier bumper or just the basics.

anyone that has a rear tire carrier reading this, does it make life easier? my rack fits up to 40's if i ever go that big.

still have yet to decide on a bumper, but i did get real tired of HID's so I just put in the Putco h4/9003 HD headlamp harness. its being used with my old POS housing but the 100w/90w halogen bulbs shine brighter than any HID bulbed cherokee ive seen in person. took me about an hour but its loomed, taped, zip tied all up and its ran right next to the factory harness and if you didnt know what you were looking for, youd miss it.

next thing to order will be rugged ridge h4 conversion housing. but theyre a pretty penny for glass and plastic

probably the next few repairs/ugrades will be:
  • oil filter adaptor o-ring
  • rear main seal
  • possible new motor in 20k miles (300,000 seems suitable for a rebuild)
  • reinstall 2" spacer lift to put it up to about 5.5-6"
  • HD RE track bar,( have bar, just need the bracket)
  • new shocks (never going procomp again)
  • 33's with lockers and 4.56's
  • ...and of course, more armor.

but that all is gonna take a while, probably wont actually finish that list for the next year or so until I get my degree at the end of this semester.

keep you guys posted.
